With the 2019 MLB season in the rear view mirror it’s time to look ahead and check out the futures odds for next year’s World Series.
The Houston Astros, who were upset in the World Series this October, have the best odds of winning next year’s title, followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees. Despite the Astros and Dodgers being loaded with talent, both teams have ace starters (Houston’s Gerrit Cole and L.A’s Hyun-Jin Ryu) who are impending free agents.
The reigning World Series champs, the Washington Nationals, sit in sixth place but also have two key players entering free agency in World Series MVP Stephen Strasburg and NL MVP candidate Anthony Rendson. So expect a lot of change between now and the start of Spring Training.
